Renewable Heat Incentive Early Tariff Review
Details of the Renewable Heat Incentive Early Tariff Review have been announced which propose to increase the rates for all
Key points
Details of the Renewable Heat Premium Payments increases have been announced and are as follows;
- Ground Source Heat Pump – from 4.8p/kWhour thermal up to 8.2p/kWhour thermal
- Solar thermal hot water panels – from 9.2p/kWhour thermal up to 11.2p/kWhour thermal
This news means that renewable installations will receive greater payments over the 20 year lifetime of the Commercial tariff and should encourage uptake for installations. This means that in addition to savings of up to 60% in running costs compared with off mains gas fossil fuels, premises will be able to generate an income from their heating systems after paying back the intial capital costs.
